Note: The marble sculpture of the famous Farnese Hercules was copied after an ancient Greek bronze created in the 4th Century B.C. The Farnese copy was made larger by Glykon for the Baths of Caracalla in Rome, and it now stands in the Archeological Museum in Naples.

Condition

Weathered patina with minor losses to his hair and beard. Numerous chips along the base with scuffing throughout. Old repairs to his neck.Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.Â
