They had two daughters, Elizabeth and Bertha. According to the artist's correspondence, Bertha also commissioned portraits, asking de László to paint an oil sketch of her sister, Elizabeth, in 1929, and a drawing of her husband, Wilfred Buckley. De László also painted their daughter, Janet, in 1910. De László painted the portrait of Mrs. Terrell first and then painted her husband to make a pair.
