Pencil and wash on paper, signed 'William Strutt', titled and variously inscribed lower right and upper right, with label from Sabin Galleries Ltd., London; and Study of a Man on a Camel, pencil and watercolor on paper, 1878, unsigned, indistinctly inscribed and dated lower left, inscribed 'Nubian Study 2'  upper right, indistinctly inscribed lower right, with label from Peter Nahum, Ltd., London. 

10 x 15 in. (sheet), 15 1/2 x 19 3/4 in. (frame), 15 x 10 in. (sheet), 23 x 17 1/2 in. (frame).

Condition

Lion with several repaired tears and creases. Surface soiling and pale staining. Camel with pale staining and surface soiling. A tiny repaired hole lower right. Several small and unobtrusive skinned spots. Otherwise in good condition.
