Provenance: The John A. and Margaret Hill Collection of American Western Art. Note: Warren Rollins was the first artist to have a formal exhibition in Santa Fe, in 1906, and was a leader of the Santa Fe art colony during the first half of the 20th century. He travelled extensively throughout the American West, searching for new subject matter in every state from the Mexican to Canadian borders. He is known for his desert landscapes and Native American portrait painting.,
