Note: The consignor purchased these rugs in 1996 from Robinia Smith in Provincetown, MA. She claimed to be the weaver of some of Walter Gropius rugs. There is no further information about her life or relationship with Mr. Gropius. 

Both with minor staining, fraying at the fringe ends and expected wear throughout. One with loose threads and minor losses.
