The three figures identified beneath and variously dated 1827, a fourth titled but lacking image; the pages numbered, 'Vol. 9  130 and 131'; together with two single cut out silhouettes, one inscribed 'Aug. Edouart fecit 1828'; the other figure, seated, identified on reverse, 'Matthew Fortescue...' and with a newspaper cutting, 'Likenesses in Profile, Executed by Mons. Edouart'.

Frames 18 x 14 3/4, 11 3/4 x 9 3/4 and 10 9 3/4 in.

 

Condition

The album page with tears, smudges and pencil notations. The single standing figure with losses to hand and foot, lacking glass. Fortescue with small losses. Each background with browning and stains.
