Note:  Blanket with George V monogram may have been used by an aide-de-Camp General in the British Army, an honorary appointment for a senior officer. This General would answer directly to Great Britain's head of state, currently Queen Elizabeth II.  The other blanket was once used by the Irish Guards, one of only two Irish infantry regiments in the British Army.  Formed in 1900, the Irish Guards are mostly recruits from Northern Ireland.  The emblem reads <I>Quis Separabit<P>, Latin for 'Who Shall Separate Us?'
