Comprising the arms of the Duke of Hamilton quartering Arran and Douglas (CAP p. 394), the border with topiary tree rising from crown with motto 'Through' (severe abrasions and rim frits); the arms of Hare (multiple reglued pieces; and Chamers impaling Wilton (CAP p. 666) with blossoming twig (lower border reconstructed). 8 3/4 to 9 in.Provenance: Hamilton: Heirloom & Howard, Ltd., UK, 1982.
