Painted and gessoed surface rubbed, chipped and cracked, with minor water damage. Neck is cracked from the ears to under the chin. Old breaks including several to his left forearm, with his left thumb missing and fingers repaired. His right arm has been reattached and he is missing his four right hand fingers. He is no longer attached to the cross by the wooden pegs representing nails, but by fishing wire. The peg meant to hold the feet to the cross is missing.
