Jacob Frères Rue Meslée' was the stamp used by Georges II (1768-1803) and François-Honoré Georges Jacob (1770-1841), sons of Georges Jacob (1739-1814, maître in 1765) between 1796 and 1803, after taking over their father's workshop. Three of four stamped.

In good overall condition, wear is consistent with age and use. Upholstered in green silk damask fabric. Minor scuffing, nicks and veneer losses and lifting. Minor veneer replacements on the back legs of the fauteuils and top rails. A few back legs spliced and now repaired and are structurally sound.
