Mallet invoice note: Saunders and Woolley were best known as house decorators and upholsters. They worked from London's Regent Street (170) and received a royal commission from Queen Victoria, as house decorators. In 1840 the company received a commission to decorate Arundel Castle in Sussex for Lord Fitzalan.

Condition

Minor seam separations on the back rest. Expected nicks. Structurally sound. Evidence of old worming on some. Nice overall quality. Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.
