Brown ink and wash on laid paper, unsigned, with the collector's stamp of William Mayor (Lugt 2799) lower right. 7 3/8 x 11 3/4 in. (sheet), 15 1/4 x 19 1/4 in. (frame).Exhibited: Stadel Museum, Drawings by Old Masters, Frankfort, 1924, illus. no. 48.Note: This drawing was catalogued as 'Rembrandt School' in the Robert von Hirsch sale. It has also been suggested that it is by Anthony von Borssum.
