Note: Our thanks to the Steinberg Foundation for providing the following information: This work is an unused drawing from a feature Steinberg did for Vogue, March 1, 1948, entitled “Man’s Burden”. The same drawings were reproduced again in the French edition of Vogue, May 1948, under the title “L’homme et son fardeau.” Although this drawing was not included in the Vogue publications, Steinberg did include it in his 1949 compilation entitled The Art of Living (p. 153).

Condition

Tack holes at the sheet corners. Pale staining and some surface soiling. Otherwise in good condition.
