Note: Rory Cameron was a cousin to Douglas Cooper. His mother, Enid Cameron, was the Countess of Kenmare. They lived at their villa La Fiorentina in Cap Ferat where Richardson and Cooper visited them. Richardson writes in his memoir The Sorcerer's Apprentice that this mother-son duo were Cooper's least favorite relatives. The infamous Countess married and then supposedly murdered one of her husbands, Lord Furness. She was later cleared of the accusation but was referred to as "The Lady who killed all her husbands." Rory was a writer of travel and history books.
