Labeled "Cary's New Celestial Globe, on which are carefully laid down the whole of the stars and nebule contained in the catalogues of Wollaston, Herschel, Bode, Piazzi, Zach & c. calculated to the year 1820. Made & sold by J. & W. Cary, No. 181 Strand London 1818." Raised on casters.

Condition

In good overall condition, with expected wear throughout. Scattered tarnishing to the brass work, and minor staining and wear to the globe. Scattered lifting, minor losses, and old repairs to the papered surface on the rim. Minor nicks, veneer losses and replacements to the mahogany frame. Structurally sound.
