In three parts; the upper section opening to a red lacquer fitted interior, above the slant-front opening to a leather-lined writing surface with three sliding panels to reveal wells and a fitted interior, above two short and two long drawers, raised on bracket feet.

7 ft. 10 1/2 in. x 42 x 24 in.

Note: Exhibited the 1984 Kips Bay Showhouse, in the blue and white bedroom. This was the show house where Mario was dubbed Prince of Chintz.

 

Condition

In restored condition with age splits and old repairs to the bottom molding. Lifting, minor losses, scuffing and typical wear throughout. Small patch on the left mirrored door. The drawers later filled with cedar liners. Decorating largely intact. Interior drawer fronts appear to be lacquer. Lacking keys. Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.Â
