Note: Multi-media artist Peter Hristoff uses painting, printmaking and traditional Turkish rugs to explore themes of joy, sorrow and hope. Splitting his time between Turkey and New York, Hristoff  was awarded Artist in Residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a 2015 program whose aim was to celebrate the living traditions of the Islamic world.
