The phoenix: 13 3/4 x 13 1/2 x 6 in.
Note: The same model was sold Christie's Paris April 13, 2017, Le Gout Francais dont 'Le Pavillon de Ribourg', lot 123, for EUR 52,500. (See Christie's note which mentions Cressent's 1757 sale of a pair of 'salamander' chenets, as well as the fact that Monsieur de Selle had a 'phoenix and salamander fire' in his house in Clichy.)

Condition
In generally good condition. Possibly regilded. Scattered nicks, scuffs and pitting. Nicely chased.
