Raised on a grey marble base. 4 1/4 x 8 1/4 x 4 in.
Provenance: The original Farnese tubs are part of the Farnese Fountain located in Palazzo Farnese in Rome. They are thought to be the ancient model of the baths of Caracalla. They sit in front of the Palazzo Farnese which was built by Cardinal Alessandro Farnese who became Pope Paul III.,
