Albumen print mounted to card, 1864, stamped 'Brady' and 'Washington'. 5 1/2 x 7 3/4 in. (sheet), 10 5/8 x 13 5/8 in. (card), unframed. Note: Gouverneur Kemble Warren (1830-1882) was a Civil War Union General best known for being the "Hero of Little Round Top" during the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863. Born in Cold Spring, New York, there are two statues dedicated in his honor, one on Little Round Top in the Gettysburg National Military Park, the other in Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, New York.
