Note: This 1968 version of Duchamp's iconic optical work Coeurs volants would be his last graphic work, printed and published by Something Else Press in New York before the artist's death later that year. Based on his 1936 Coeurs volants for the cover of Cahier d'Art, Duchamp was asked by SEP to create a new version for the cover of their US publication of Emmett William's epic poem Sweethearts. Duchamp and his wife, Teeny, worked with SEP founders Alison Knowles and Dick Higgins to create new screens for this version of Coeurs volants. Printed in an edition of 24, this work is very rare.
