Note: Born in Greece, Laura Grisi studied art in Rome and settled there to become known as an Italian Pop artist in the 1960s. She first showed at the Galleria il Segno in Rome in 1964, followed by shows in Milan and in New York at the Leo Castelli Gallery. She is best-known for her series of Neon paintings and her work with the idea of variability that allowed viewers to change the composition. This portfolio addresses the idea of variability through mathematical combinations that change the placement of the color strips in each image.
