Note: Consul Lucius Cornelius Barbatus of the Scipioni family was a Roman war hero whose leadership lead to victory over the Etruscans at battle near Volterra in 298 B.C. His tombs were discovered in 1614 in a vineyard near Porta Capena on the Via Appia, Rome. 

Condition

Losses at all four corners under the top with a few dentil molding pieces missing, and minor nicks along the base. Expected scuffing, staining and minor wear throughout. Three small pin holes on the top with a few small repairs. This is of unusually large scale.Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.
