Note: Hudson Valley artist Kathy Ruttenberg considers herself a 'visual storyteller', creating complex sculptural compositions that tell a story. Her allegorical art was part of the figurative expressionism that emerged following Minimalism in the 1970s, allowing her tableaux vivante to focus on the figure, the natural world, and their relationship to each other.
