Note: Suite Circulation Time is a series of twenty-one prints that focus on the exploration of time as a cyclic form of existence, interconnecting the human and natural worlds. Beuys' interest in the scientific world is manifest here in his concept of time being circular in movement, evolving and changing in the organic and inorganic worlds. Growth and decay, day and night, birth and death are all part of the cycle of nature and, for Beuys, represent the inherent polarities in the natural world.
