Two black and white photographs, unmarked; together with Merce Cunningham (1919-2009): A Picture Book For J.C, Xmas 1984 (six copies in original plastic wrapping); and Tribute 21 Plate, glazed ceramic.
Photos 9 x 15 in. (sheet) and 14 x 11 in. (sheet), unframed.
Note: Photographer James Klosty first saw Merce Cunningham perform in London in 1964, an experience that influenced the work he created in the early 70s when Dutton published Merce Cunningham, the first book to be published about Cunningham. In 1975, Klosty's Cunningham photographs received one-man exhibitions at the Leo Castelli Gallery and the International Center of Photography. He went on to publish a book on John Cage before he retired to pursue an avid interest in gardening.
