For over two decades, The Fortress has served as both a home and haven to Antonie Reinhard and the late Maurice Margules. Located in Troy, New York, this nationally recognized, historic property, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013, holds significance both architecturally and for the exceptional collection it houses.

Condition

In good overall condition, with scattered gouges, nicks, and a seam separation to the top, with the remains of old filler. A patch to the lid where the latch attaches. Scattered small age splits and evidence of old worming throughout. Without lock mechanism. Beautifully carved and structurally sound.
