Ceramic, with the artist's impressed signature at bottom, from the edition of only a few.

13 in. (Diameter).

Note: Lipchitz was commissioned by the Israel Museum to create this bas-relief image for the Silver Anniversary of Israel. It was officially authorized by the Prime Minister's 25th Anniversary Committee to commemorate the founding of the free state of Israel on May 14, 1948. The design was used to create a silver salver that was produced in an edition of several hundred before the mint, the George Washington Mint, was disbanded and production ceased. A handful of porcelain casts were made from the original clay model. They were not for sale and were given by Reese Palley, owner of the mint, as gifts.
