Note: Emperor Caracalla, a Roman Emperor from 198-217, was a member of the Severan dynasty, was co-ruler with his father, Septimius Severus from 198, he continued to rule with his brother Geta after his father's death in 211. It is alleged that Caracalla ordered his brother death at the hands of a Praetorian guard in 211, thus leaving him as the sole emperor. Caracalla was known for his cruelty, building the second largest Baths in Rome and for introducing a new currency. His reign became notable for the Edit of Caracalla granting citizenship to all free men throughout the Roman Empire.
