19 1/2 x 21 x 11 1/4 in. Note: Pietro Tacca (1577-1640), originally sculpted and cast "Il Porcellino" as a fountain shortly before 1634. He drew inspiration from a Hellenistic copy in the Grand Ducal collection in Florence at the time. Tacca's original now sits in the Museo Bardini today. A copy of Tacca's boar is a tourist attraction, the legend suggests if you rub the boar's snout you will return to Florence.
