Acrylic on paper, signed with initials 'HG' lower right, ink on paper, 2016, inscribed 'For John, Happy Birthday Love, Hugo' and dated lower right, and ink on paper, inscribed 'Darling John/Happy 91st Birthday/Love Hugo lower right; and Violet, transfer print on canvas, 2009, titled, dated and inscribed 'For John on his birthday/his Goddaughter Violet/XXXHugsXX' on the back of the frame.

Note: The young girl in the transfer print is Violet Guiness, a daughter of Hugo Guiness and artist Elliott Puckette. Guiness is best-known as a writer. He has collaborated with Wes Anderson on multiple films. His screenplay for The Grand Budapest Hotel was nominated for an Academy Award. 

Condition

Face and Cat both apparently in very good condition. Not examined out of frame. Helmut and Violet both in very good condition.Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.
