Note: Histoire de l'Oeil is a novel by Georges Bataille about the sexual escapades of a teenager, his lover, a voyeur and a suicidal girl. The first edition of the book was published under a pseudonym in 1928 and then reissued in 1947 with six etchings by Hans Bellmer as illustration.
