The Collection of Sanford L. Smith represents a life and love of collecting that was shared with millions of like-minded lovers of art and antiques through the fairs hosted by the eponymous Sanford L. Smith + Associates. The catalogue will be available on January 17, 2025. Highlights in the sale include weathervanes and important Americana, Folk Art, works on paper by Charles Burchfield and John Marin, Marine paintings, and a selection of Western bronzes.

The stuffed Inuit 10 x 5 1/4 x 2 in.

Condition

The two stuffed toys with scattered discoloration to the shearling and wear to the leather decoration commensurate with age and use. The other objects with minor wear. Some scattered minor losses and craquelure to the painted decoration. Otherwise in good overall condition.
