Note: Fluorspar is a mineral form of calcium fluoride. Blue John is a rare for of fluorspar with its distinctive purple color and is only found in Derbyshire, England. The largest deposit of fluorspar is found in South Africa.

Condition

Wear, natural inclusions to the stone. A loss to the rim of the cover and to corners of the base. Age splits, old repairs throughout. Small nicks along the edges of cover and urn. Otherwise, impressive scale and in good condition.
