The set of etchings in black on heavy wove paper, including six single plates (five bound), seven double plates, one triple plate, Veduta del Prospetto Principlae della Colonna Trajanna and Veduta del Prospetto Principlae della Colonna Antonina, and the paper and leather bound boards stamped with gold title and numbered XIV, presumably from a French edition.

Cover boards 32 x 23 in., bound sheets 32 x 23 in. (each sheet), multiple plates with various sizes contained in boards.

Colonna Trajana 117 x 21 1/2 in. (sight), 122 x 26 1/2 in. (frame).

Colonna Antonina 124 1/2 x 31 in. (sight), 129 x 36 in. (frame).

 

Condition

Colonna Trajana and Colonna Antonina both with creasing, staining and foxing. The plates contained in cover boards with creasing, a few repaired splits, staining  and surface soiling. The boards with wear, rubbed areas, abraisions and soiling.
