Watercolor on paper, signed 'Apperley' lower right, titled and inscribed 'Wynne Apperley R.L.' on a mount. 10 x 14 in. (sheet), 21 1/2 x 25 1/2 in. (frame), 12 3/4 x 16 3/4 in. (mount, sheet). Note: The Alhambra is a palace complex in Granada, Spain. It was originally constructed as a fortress in 889 AD, then rebuilt in the thirteenth century as a palace by the Moorish emir Mohammed ben Al-Ahmar. It was converted into a royal palace in 1333 and became home to the royal court of Ferdinand and Isabella in 1492.
