Comprising:

Two tea caddies and covers

 A sugar box and cover

The larger 6 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 3 1/4 in., the smaller 5 3/4 x 3 5/8 x 2 1/2 in., 35.9 oz. approx. gross weight.

 

Literature: Arthur Grimwade, Rococo Silver, 1725-1765, 1974, Illustration no. 67c (one of set).

 

Exhibition: Royal Academy of Arts, Winter Exhibition, London, 1955, no. 482.

Condition

The original case lacking. Minor wear. A few minor bruises to the corners of covers, the larger with bruises to flange. The finials slightly askew, some fronds with bruises and one with a minor split near end. Otherwise in good condition.
