Five aquatints with hand-coloring on wove paper, c. 1812. 19 1/4 x 14 (sight), 29 x 23 in. (frame). Note: Pomona Britannica was Brookshaw's masterpiece of botanical folios, issued in parts between 1804 and 1808. The complete edition, which was dedicated to the Prince of Whales, was published in 1812. The folio illustrated over two hundred and fifty varieties of fruit. Many of the specimens came from the Royal Gardens at Hampton Court and Kensington Gardens. Provenance: Shapero Gallery, London.,
