Pencil on paper, 1835, signed 'Reau' upper right, inscribed 'composition...' and dated lower right; together with Continental School: Classical Sculpture Study, ink and wash on laid paper, unsigned; Female Sculpture Study, ink and wash on laid paper, indistinctly signed lower left; and French School: Ornemens: Rosacea, ink on paper, indistinctly signed lower right. Lion 12 x 9 1/8 in. (sheet); Classical Sculpture Study 9 3/4 x 6 3/4 in. (sheet); Female Study 14 7/8 x 9 1/4 in. (sheet); and Rosacea 12 1/2 x 17 in. (sheet); all unframed. Condition: Lion- staining in the lower third of the sheet; creasing throughout; creasing, small tears, and losses; scattered foxmarks, staining, and surface soiling; remains of old tape on the reverse. Sculptural Figures- tack holes at the corners; tiny creases and tears at the sheet edges; scattered foxing, staining, and surface soiling; hinged to back mat at the reverse of the sheet corners, reverse of the sheet not visible. Female Sculpture- tack holes at the corners; creases, showing mostly at bottom right and top left corners; small tears; scattered foxing, staining, and surface soiling. Rosacea- creasing and a few small tears at the sheet edges; ; some pin holes in the images; tack holes at the corners; scattered foxing, staining, and surface soiling.,
