Jacques Dubois maître in 1742. The handles and feet are stamped with a crowned C mark. Fitted with a breche d'Alep serpentine-fronted marble top, above two short and three long drawers.

34 1/4 x 26 x 52 3/4 in.

Notes: The crowned C mark was used in France as a tax mark on ormolu mounts of a certain weight from February 1745 to February 1749.

Condition

Minor chips along the edges of the restored marble top. Numerous veneer losses along the legs and back side edges.  Minor age cracks to the drawer boards, but still slide well. Typical wear throughout. Structurally sound, need restoration and well worth it.
