The serpentine-fronted top with canted corners above three long drawers, raised on hipped cabriole legs; the whole inlaid with fan, foliate and urn inlay. Inventory number 'E2018/2' on the back panels of both commodes.

33 x 46 x 20 1/4 in.

Condition

Age splits with associated repairs on the tops. Minor veneer replacements along the outer border and edge of the top. Scattered staining on the left side of one commode. Scattered repairs to the marquetry inlay and green staining. Minor veneer losses on the front and wear to the feet on both. Front left leg repaired on one, and a small veneer repair on the foot of the other commode. Expected wear. Drawers work well and hardware appears to be original.
