The upper sections fitted with two shelves, the frieze drawers opening to reveal a gilt-tooled leather writing slide with a ratchet mechanism flanked by a pair of sliding tops with compartments and flanked by pen wells and inkwell compartments and secret drawers, the lower section fitted with a floral painted porcelain plaque opening to two shelves, raised on a plinth base.
4 ft. 5 1/2 x 37 1/2 x 14 1/2 in.
Both in good, restored condition with scuffing to the tops and one repair to the brass gallery. Both with age splits to the side panels and the front lower sections. The drawers are a bit stiff. One cabinet has 2 keys while the other has 5 keys. Both structurally sound and of exceptionally fine quality.
