Fitted with a white marble top within a pierced lappet decorated ormolu border, raised on classical female caryatid monopodia, joined by a pierced stretcher, raised on toupie feet.

29 1/2 x 37 1/2 in.

Note: The original model of this guéridon designed by Bernard Molitor in 1790 is in the Château de Versailles, and was originally called a Table à Thé.

Property from a Private Connecticut Collector

Condition

Minor scuffing and stains to the marble top, nice casting on the lappet border. Minor age crack on the stretcher and paw feet. Frame a bit wobbly. Grand scale, fine quality and impressive in person.
