Th rectangular top with rounded corners, inlaid with a scrolling acanthus leaf beaded dished top, raised on a turned stem and scrolled legs.

26 1/2 x 28 x 18 in.

Note: A nearly identical table sold Sotheby's, New York, The Collection of Arne Schlesch, April 5, 2000, Lot 336 for $20,000; a similarly decorated top with a bird and a different base was sold Christie's, London, December 1, 2005, Lot 229; and a nearly identical top and a different base was sold Christie's, Amsterdam, June 27, 2006, lot 147. All three examples have the two-toned green leaves outlined with white beading on a purple ground. 

Condition

A slight warp to the top with an old age crack in the middle. Minor bead replacements and very minor losses. Minor repairs to the legs and a few old age splits to the stem, structurally sound.
