Note: Cornelius Miller was the son of Aaron Miller who was one of the earliest clock makers in New Jersey. Cornelius died in 1779. His date of birth is uncertain. The Miller family had many direct ties with the famous Brokaw family of clock makers. Isaac Brokaw was a son-in-law to Aaron Miller, thus making Cornelius a brother-in-law to Isaac Brokaw. It appears that there were not only family relationships between these two families but business ones as well.
