Oil on canvas, unsigned, lined. 26 x 23 in., 35 x 31 1/2 in. (frame). Provenance: The Artist's Group, LLC, NY. Note: The Nawabs of Arcot, known as the Nawabs of the Carnatic, ruled the Carnatic region of Southern India from 1690 to 1801. During this period there were seven rulers, referred to as the Subedar Nawabs of the Carnatic.
