Note: Schiele made only seventeen prints during his short career, six of which were included in the portfolio The Graphic Work of Egon Schiele, published posthumously in 1922 by the Verlag Neuer Graphik, Vienna. Schiele died in 1918 during the influenza pandemic. Since the 1922 publication of the portfolio, there have been four additional editions of individual plates overseen by Galerie St. Etienne. In 1990, they published a deluxe edition of Kauernde (Squatting Woman) in an edition of 100, signed and numbered by Jane Kallir, as here.
