Note: The Stieglitz image was taken by Norman in the 1930s at An American Place, Stieglitz's studio for artistic experimentation. Stieglitz and Norman worked closely together at An American Place, the former supporting and encouraging the younger photographer at the beginning of her career. Aperture re-issued this image from the original negative with the artist's cooperation as a gift to donors.
