Lacking writing arm, the rectangular backrest with slight wing sides continuing to padded armrests, raised on rounded supports, above upholstered seat, and drawer, ending on square tapered legs with casters.Note: A nearly identical chair was exhibited in The Newark Museum, Classical America 1815-1845, in 1963, plate # 79. The catalogue note states: This chair is in the style of the French Restoration period (1820-1830).
