Note: The Cogolin Manufacture, established in 1924 in a village near Saint-Tropez, is rich in artisanal know-how that is particularly sought after by a clientele in search of tradition and quality. Purchased by the textile engineer and visionary Jean Lauer in 1928, the Cogolin Manufacture experienced remarkable growth from the 1930s onwards thanks to the introduction of its exceptional know-how to great decorative artists such as Jules Leleu, Christian Bérard, Jean-Michel Frank, Sir David Hicks and artists such as Jean Cocteau.
From hand-knotted to weaving on nineteenth-century hand jacquard looms, the Cogolin carpet is recognizable by the unparalleled elegance of its floral and geometric high-relief patterns and by its palette of bright colors.
Occupying a prominent place in the history of French heritage, the richness of its historical and cultural heritage and the skill of its craftsmen produce admirable creations that have adorned palaces, embassies, luxurious residences and yachts since its creation.
